I really want to visit Guadalajara for the food scene and the architecture, but I’m getting a lot of pushback from my family about cartel violence in Jalisco. I plan to just stick to the main neighborhoods (Colonia Americana, Providencia) and take Ubers sometimes at night. Has anyone been recently who can give me an honest vibe check?
