Planning a trip to Lake Atitlan and Antigua. I’m an experienced solo traveler but my family is freaking out about safety. I really want to take the chicken buses (camionetas) because they look fun and cheap. Are they sketchy for a solo traveller with a backpack? Or should I stick to the tourist shuttles?
