Utah national parks road trip: is 7 days enough for the Mighty Five?

Okay so my husband and I are planning to fly into Vegas, rent a car, and try to hit all 5 Utah national parks in 7 days. I’ve been mapping it out and the driving distances are making me nervous. Zion to Bryce seems fine but then getting up to Arches and Canyonlands is like 4 to 5 hours each way?

Are we crazy for trying to do all 5? Should we just pick 3 and actually enjoy them instead of spending half the trip in the car? We’re moderate hikers (nothing crazy, maybe 5 to 8 miles a day) and want to do at least one iconic trail at each park. If you had to cut 2 parks which would you skip?

My husband and I did a 15-day road trip around that area about 8 years ago and it was incredible. Antelope Canyon and the Grand Canyon completely blew us away.

We didn’t have enough time for Utah and Sedona back then though, so I’m definitely following this thread for a future trip too :slightly_smiling_face:
