Staying in Denver for 5 days next August and want to do some mountain day trips. I’m not a camper (I like a real bed and a shower, sue me) so I want to come back to Denver each night.
Which mountain hikes are actually doable as day trips from the city? I’ve heard Rocky Mountain National Park is about 90 minutes, is that the best option or are there closer hikes that are just as good? Also I’m coming from sea level so altitude is a real concern. Any tips for not dying on a trail at 10,000 feet?
