So I’m building a dream South America trip for next February and I really want to add Easter Island. Basic questions because I can’t find a straight answer anywhere:
- Is LATAM from Santiago literally the only way there? I’ve heard there’s maybe a flight from Tahiti that runs once a week but that sounds like a myth.
- Is 3 full days (so basically 4 nights) enough to see all the main moai sites? I’d rent a small car or ATV and drive around. Or do people really stay a week?
- Do you actually need a guide for any of the sites or can you just show up with a park pass?
Not trying to do this on the cheap but also not trying to overstay if 3 days does the job.
