Prague cheap hotels that hopefully avoid crowds

I’m looking for a budget place to stay in Prague, but I really want to avoid the madness of the Old Town Square. I don’t want to get out of the hotel and have tons of crowds right in my face. Are there any quieter neighborhoods (maybe Vinohrady or Letna?) that are still cheap and easy to get to the center from? Ideally a small hotel or guesthouse, not a massive party hostel.

hi @adrian , we once stayed in the Belvedere Hotel Prague in Letna.

They had a deal, so it was really affordable for 3 nights, and we had a hotel breakfast with a huge selection.

You’re very close to the Old Town, yet far enough away not feel the tourist crowds. It’s easy from there to walk to the Prague Castle through Letna Park, so you’ll avoid the masses.

The Výstaviště exhibition center is within walking distance. The area boasts some really impressive buildings. When I went, it was eerily deserted. Plus, you have the National Gallery Prague on your doorstep.

Commenting so I can follow this thread, planning a last-minute trip to Prague myself this March. Before all the crowds show up in high season
