Cambodia - is it really worth it?

I’ve seen some mixed reviews - and I am planning a trip to Thailand next year! Wondering if it’s worth adding Cambodia?

Hmm, how much time do you have? I would say don’t rush through Thailand to add Cambodia…but if you have time, GO! It’s close and easy to add on  I did both and loved it! You don’t need a ton of time for Cambodia, but I guess it depends on what you want to see. Angkor Wat is a must-see, of course

If you want to do a tour, there are tons of good options as well, like this one: Best of Cambodia & Northern Thailand by G Adventures with 9 Tour Reviews (Code: AVCT) - TourRadar

I usually tend to do 10-12 days in total for these kind of holidays! Do you think in that time I can do both? And yes 100% booking a tour for this as I don’t want to travel solo! Thanks for the recommendation I’ll have a look at it

Amazing! Hmm, I personally would stick with 1 of the countries…of course, you CAN do both, but I think that if you’ve never been to either of the countries, sticking with 1 will be better. You will be able to see more, and it will be a bit less moving around/rushing
If your original trip plan is to go to Thailand, I would stick with that! There is a lot to see in the south (beaches) but the North is also beautiful (more greenery/culture): 10 Best Thailand Tours & Trips 2025/2026 - TourRadar

I did visit both countries and both are amazing but if you only have 10-12 days I agree to stick to one country. I did Cambodia quickly in 6 days and it was simply not enough time. 3 days in Phnom Phen and 3 days in Siem Reap. There was so much more to do and see and I am planning on going back to check out other parts that are supposed to be amazing.
