We’re in our mid-60s and finally planning Southeast Asia, probably our one big trip next year. Part of me wants to give Vietnam the full two weeks, but the tours that tack on a few days in Cambodia for Angkor Wat are very tempting. For those who’ve done the combined trip, did adding Cambodia feel rushed or like the right call?
If you’re doing a big trip like this, I wouldn’t leave Angkor Wat out. If you’ve already found a tour that covers both, I’d go for it. Operators usually know how to make the itinerary flow seamlessly between the two countries. Three to four nights in Cambodia is enough to do it justice without taking too much away from Vietnam!
It definitely does.
