I’ll be travelling solo to Canada next September and plan to visit Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise, and a few parks and beaches in British Columbia. I’m thinking of spending about two weeks there, but I could extend a bit of my stay if needed. Do you think two weeks is enough to cover those spots? I’ve heard September is the start of autumn in Canada. Would a light jacket be warm enough? I’m planning to only bring a carry-on, so I want to make sure I pack smart.

This would be a great time to visit parks in September while the leaves are changing colours, it is slightly off the peak travel season, and the weather is still pretty good.
You may be okay with a light jacket, worst case scenario you buy an extra layer once you arrive. Depending if you are planning to hike some of the mountains, it could get chilly.

Two weeks should be more than enough time. I think the rule of thumb when travelling in the rockies is to pack layers. T-shirt, sweater, and light jacket will probably be good. Once you start doing some hikes you’ll thank me!
