I am looking to travel to Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia in 2026 and was wondering if anyone knew whether or not I needed to get a visa to any of these destinations as a Canadian citizen traveling with a Canadian passport.
I’ve only been to Thailand, and didn’t need a visa for short stays (I stayed for 14 days). I think Vietnam and Cambodia both require visas for Canadian travellers, though!
When I travelled here you could easily get a visa at the border whether you’re going by land or air. I recommend carrying passport size photos as often it’s needed for visas on arrivals. You can also use this tool from TourRadar it’s so helpful and shows you what the entry requirements are to countries with your passport.
Rules also change often!! So even if it says you don’t need a visa check before you go
Canadian here. You do for Vietnam, on-line; careful with non VN governement sites asking for a lot more money. .Not for Thailand but you need to fill the TDAC 3 days in advance. Cambodia land borders with Thailand are not advisable for the moment as conflict situation between the 2 countries. My last trip to Cambodia was by land from VN and we got visas at the border. Check the Canadian government web site or vice versa type Canadians traveling to Cambodia and see what the current situation is. Emphasis on CURRENT
