Dolomites without a car in September

Hey there! I really want to hike the Dolomites (Seceda, Tre Cime) but neither me nor my friend want to drive on winding mountain roads.
Are the local buses reliable enough in late September to get to the main trailheads, or are we going to be stranded?
If it helps we are travelling from Germany.
Thank you in advance for the advice

The roads aren’t that bad in September. I’ve driven there a few times at that time of year

Most of the tourists have gone and the snow hasn’t arrived yet.

Late September is right at the end of the summer hiking season, so buses are still running, but schedules may be slightly reduced compared to July and August.

Check out the timetables of the regional bus systems (Südtirol Mobil in South Tyrol and Dolomitibus in Veneto).

Since you’re coming from Germany, you’ll likely start by travelling to Bolzano (Bozen in German), the gateway to the Dolomites, or another nearby hub like Brixen (Bressanone).

Trains from Munich (via Innsbruck) to Bolzano or Brixen take about four to five hours.

I’m also really interested in visiting the Dolomites and following this thread for tips  It looks absolutely stunning!
