anybody have good & bad experiences with renting cars in Ireland? any company you would recommend? we’ll fly into Dublin and will stay for a few days near Galway in an Airbnb that is hardly reachable without a car haha we could rent the car either in Dublin and drive over or take the train to Galway and hire a car there - we don’t really have a preference!
bonus points: where would you take your car from Galway to explore the best parts of Ireland? thank youu!
I think I used Hertz back in the days. Rented the car in Dublin and left it in Shannon. Def compare prices as the few for dif stations can differ a lot
I’d always start with rentalcars.com, they compare all the providers. Generally I book with one of the big names - Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Enterprise, or Alamo.
@lisa have you considered doing an organized adventure? That way you don’t have to worry about rentals and you get chauffeured around?
