Or even taking a flight to an unknown destination!
Honestly I’ve been thinking about this for a while - It thrills me to do something out of the ordinary! Anyone has experience doing this?
Help me convince myself!

That sounds thrilling! But what about us travellers who need to apply for visas? ![]()
Personally, I would appreciate being booked to things I knew someone I personally knew was planning. I wouldn’t trust some company to organise things for me without telling me exactly where I’d be sleeping. My hostel days are long gone at this point.
I have heard of these mystery holidays, but have not heard of mystery tour! The idea of taking off to somewhere unknown sounds exciting!
But in reality, I think I would be disappointed if I went somewhere I had already travelled before and knew already, as I want to make sure I spend my travel money wisely as I only have so much cash and so many years to see the many, many places I would like in the world.
I agree with @OZ_TRAVELLER - I would need to know at least somethings, like the accommodation level.
But in theory yes - would do it just for the experience of trying it if the price was right! ![]()
Yep agree with the other comments on this thread - I’d only do if it was through a reputable company and perhaps if you could select at least the continent or country but be surprised by the rest ![]()
Yes! I have been thinking about doing this many times, but we dont have any starting here in Norway. Howeever considering doing one with Journee starting from London!
I would love to hear about it if you do @Plasticbrain!
Absolutely! In fact we are planning to do this next year. There are 4 of us who travel quite a bit and I thought it would be fun to try this out. I recall back in the 1980s there was an airline in Australia who did this. You’d just show up at the airport with your identification and a small bag, and you would have an instructions as to where and how to proceed. I think it will be a blast.
I think that would really be something special to do you can’t plan it, it’s just a go with the flow kind of thing since you don’t even know where you’re headed
There’s something exciting about that mystery ![]()
For me I just need to know what I need to pack and I am ready! I find it exciting but I need to know that I have everything for the weather I am going to
Most certainly; especially if it’s paid for.
If I’m paying, I usually know where I’m going; although it’s often a mystery what I’ll see and do along the way.
