Do you prefer seeing many places briefly or staying in one place deeply?

My style was always more “let’s see as much a possible” - Island hopping, moving from one city to the other within the day - make time more valuable. But on my last trip I stayed 5 days in the same location and it felt so good to just enjoy, relax and let my mind rest.

When you do the “let’s see as much a possible” you get soooo much but also your mind doesn’t stop working - especially if you go on your own without booking a tour - you have to handle all the logistics, reservations, etc!!

Since I booked my first organized adventure - everything changed for me - you get the best of both! How do you guys choose to travel?

Great question @micatravels

I’m very much a ‘see as much as possible’ person when I travel.

Even when I used to go skiing, I couldn’t spend a week or two in the same resort; I’d visit a few, staying a couple of days in each.

Those were the days when you could pretty much turn up with skis on your shoulder and get a room almost anywhere.

Now, with ‘free movement’ in Europe and online bookings, it’s all pretty much full in advance in ‘peak season’; even if there’s no snow.

I don’t wax the skis any more but continue to take it as it comes; ready to get a little lost and explore the unexpected.
