My family of 5 is doing a round trip of jordan in february and are debating if its worth going to aqaba or better to skip it and go back north around the dead sea and spend an extra day there. What would you recomend?

I didn’t get down there, but for the kids, I’d totally do Aqaba rather than the Dead Sea. Whilst the Dead Sea is an amazing experience, you literally can’t put your head underwater or get the water in your mouth… the salt is 10x what normal ocean is and tastes like battery acid on your tongue, so it’s not something your kids will enjoy if they can’t splash around and swim like normal. Aqaba will be much more like going to Egypt’s Dahab or equivalent which might be fun for the kids.
