Where is the best place to see sloths?

I love to travel to see wildlife - where it is intended to be - in the wild!

I’m looking into lots of different trips I can take to see some epic wildlife and seeing sloths is way up there!

I’m looking at different tours, and while many of them visit Tortuguero and Mont Verde, I want to get a bit more off the beaten track, and some tours go to lots of different parks, I’m just not sure what is best for what I’m looking for - which is as much wildlife as possible (not just Sloths).

Has anyone been there and can recommend the best place to see the most wildlife, ideally without big crowds? Also, is there a certain time of year that is best to go for wildlife that anyone can recommend? And what did you see?!

I went south to the Corcovado National Park as well as Manuel Antonio. But Corcovado is definitely the spot to be. Saw sloths, toucans, parrots, all the monkey species, a puma, crocodiles, and a tapir. Some other guests even saw a jaguar which is super rare. I also ended up doing a snorkeling trip while there and saw turtles, dolphins, reef sharks and rays. Highly recommended and less touristy. I used Destination Services Costa Rica and they customized the trip for me Destination Services Costa Rica - 324 Reviews - TourRadar
