Travelling to different countries to see the wildlife in different parts of the world is one of my favourite things! I would love to hear peoples stories about the most special or memorable experiences with animals you’e seen on your travels
Mine is seeing the dragons at Komodo National Park. I saw lots of baby Komodo’s to start (very cute!), and then some adults hanging on the beach who were beautiful. But when we walked through the forest, this absolute beast came out of the trees, the guide told us this was as big as they got and we were lucky to see him. I was a bit daunted at first, but he started drinking from a small stream and he was so gentle, beautiful to see Once in a lifetime for me!
The best wildlife experience I had while on tour, I would say would be seeing a spectacled bear running parallel to the trail while hiking on the Inca Trail. The bear was far but still visible but it was super cool to have seen it!
I would love to go on a safari in an African country, soon to experience a real wildlife experience!
One of the most unforgettable wildlife adventures I’ve ever had was during a Lion safari in India. I was incredibly lucky to spot around 7-8 lions that day, it truly felt like a scene straight out of a nature documentary! Watching them stroll gracefully right in front of our jeep and catching my first glimpse of adorable lion cubs was pure magic. Now I can’t wait to take my next big leap, a Jungle Safari in Africa, to experience the thrill of adventure among the world’s most incredible creatures.
For me it was when I went on safari the first time. Spotting the big five in The Kruger National Park in South Africa. Elephants and giraffes were SO much bigger than I could have imaged!
Wow! That must be so special to see an Andean bear in the wild - that’s incredible! I saw one at a sanctuary I volunteered at in Bolivia (and my partner looked after and ‘walked the bear’ which was pretty crazy) and they are so beautiful and so rare!
