Surf trip recommendations for a beginner

I’m planning a surf trip for around a week and looking for some fresh inspiration! I’ve already been to Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Sagres and el Palmar and loved every single one. I’m still very much a beginner (I can barely stand up lol), but genuinely enjoy every minute of it! So I’m definitely not looking for anything too challenging, just a spot with friendly waves, a great vibe, and a fun nightlife scene. I’d love to hear any recommendations!

How about Cornwall?

It’s basically the UK’s surf heartland with mellow beach breaks, super friendly surf schools, and a nightlife scene that ranges from cosy pubs to proper beach-party energy; depending on where you base yourself.

The water can be cold though.

If that’s a deal breaker, consider Lagos (if you don’t mind visiting Portugal again) or Taghazout, Morocco.

I’ve just noticed you’re visiting Morocco in September, so there’s your answer.

Thank you @TravelNotes! It definitely makes sense to visit Taghazout, and after checking my itinerary I realized it’s already included in my tour so it looks like I’m going! I’m thinking of adding a few extra days to make the most of the waves while I’m there :woman_surfing: .

Your other recommendations haven’t gone unnoticed either! I loved Portugal, so Lagos is now firmly on the list  !
