Safety Travelling to/in Egypt

Hi,

Has anyone seen the message on your TourRadar account about rescheduling due to the world events? Then we read this update from the U.S. Embassy in Egypt from the OSAC Egypt Country Security report:

“Terrorism The U.S. Department of State has assessed Cairo as being a HIGH-threat location for terrorism directed at or affecting official U.S. government interests. The U.S. Department of State has included a Terrorism “T” Indicator on the Travel Advisory for Egypt, indicating that terrorist attacks have occurred and/or specific threats against civilians, groups, or other targets may exist.”

We are concerned about traveling to Egypt at this time, given the tensions that are building and unpredictable danger with the war.

There is the added disruption of TSA short staffing throughout the U.S. Making travel a burden now.

Honestly, the next few months feel a bit uncertain globally, and what’s happening in the world is definitely something to think about.

Because of its geopolitical location, Egypt might seem a bit more sensitive compared to some other destinations.

That said, as far as I know, there hasn’t been any specific official announcement or new restriction directly affecting travel to Egypt. I truly hope the war ends as soon as possible and everything gets better. :folded_hands:

I get why you’re concerned , it’s a bit worrying with everything going on right now. From what I understand, tours are still running, but it might be worth keeping an eye on updates or even considering rescheduling if you don’t feel comfortable. Better to be safe and travel when you can fully enjoy it.

@WideExplorersclub I am %100 percent agree with you. I hope everything will be good asap :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

The American administration has made the entire world (not only the middle east) more unsafe for US citizens. However having JUST returned, I saw no change in the attitude of the people in Egypt.

Hopefully everything returns to normal as soon as possible, and we can all travel again with peace of mind. :folded_hands:

It is definitely a crazy time in the world. I would use that warning as guide and do your research.
