I’m looking for a cheaper alternative to Costa Rica for a surf/volcano trip and Nicaragua looks amazing.
But my family is freaking out about the political situation and safety. For tourists sticking to places like San Juan del Sur and Ometepe, is it generally safe right now or should I be looking elsewhere?
