Mongolia is high on my bucket list but obviously you can’t just rent a car and drive into the Gobi desert yourself.
I was checking TourRadar for some 7-day ger camp experiences. Does anyone have experience with these group tours? How rough are the bathroom facilities out there… I want to be prepared!
I haven’t been yet but it’s on my list 
In general, for destinations like this, I think taking a tour is always more comfortable and well-organized, especially in remote places like the Gobi.
From what I’ve seen, the landscapes are incredible but quite isolated, so having everything arranged makes things much easier.
Still, it looks like a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
