Hey everyone - anyone ever been to Mauritius and can share some tips on hotels, areas, hiking, best beaches, restaurants? I’m gonna take my mum next year in October for her 60th birthday

I have been but only for a quick 4 day trip. I stayed in the south of the island. Not sure about the hotel anymore but they all looked very nice. Your typical beach resort hotels. Beautiful for snorkeling and swimming with dolphins. Definitely do the Le Morne hike (they suggest a guide but easily done by yourself too). I heard the North is nice too but dont know myself.
