Hello! Planning a quick getaway to Malta in middle of May from the busy Berlin. We really want to have some beach days, but I’m reading that the Mediterranean is still basically ice water at that time. Has anyone been in May? Is it warm enough to actually swim or is it just “sit on the sand in a sweater” weather. I have plenty of that at home so hopefully not.

I was there for a few days in early May but didn’t go swimming. There’s so much to see and do without getting your feet wet; especially if you visit Gozo as well.
