What are the must-pack items for Italy in the spring? I’m planning a trip in May and I want to make sure I have my essentials! This will be my first time in Italy so any other travel tips are greatly appreciated!
Even in Spring, the sun is quite strong! Don’t forget your sunscreen, hat, and a water bottle. Good walking shoes are a must! Trust me, you’ll regret walking in sandals ![]()
Are you booking a tour or going on your own? If the second, book your train tickets in advance - you’ll save money and a few headaches. Tren Italia is the best train company for this!
@micatravels Thanks for the recommendations and the insight to book my train ticket in advance! ![]()
I’m planning on travelling alone and doing a tour of the beaches! Any recommendations of beaches/tours I should check out? ![]()
You have to plan to be drenched in sweat lol so super light and breathable clothes (linen works great) are a must! Also, definitely bring a hat, sunglasses and all that fun stuff because shade can sometimes be hard to come by at a lot of the touristy spots. A good (and large) water bottle is also key. In Rome, they have free cold water fountains all over the city. It’s a great way to save some money while you’re there and not pass out from heat exhaustion lol ![]()
What’s Italy without a beach huh? I am a fun of relaxing at the beach for a few days too! I’m personally dreaming about this one Sicily & Amalfi Coast Escape by Omega Tours with 2 Tour Reviews (Code: 1069) - TourRadar - it is a mix of beach and historic places which I find so fascinating. That is of course if you like that vibe!
If you don’t have the time to do that or you want to do something more relaxing, you can fly to Sicily (Cefalu) or/and Sardinia! Magical place ![]()
