I want to get off the beaten track and do some hikes in Austria as I have seen some beautiful pictures and feel (hope) it may be less busy than popular sites in Italy and Switzerland. Can you recommend some lakes to me that have cute towns to explore, mountains to hike and water to swim in. I know about Hallstat but as I understand there has been a lot of tourism to Hallstat. I’d like to see something different to what all of my friends have done.
