I’m traveling from Australia to Europe — which travel card would you recommend

I don’t want to use my regular everyday card overseas because of high fees. Which travel card or company would you recommend in Australia? I’d also prefer not to carry cash

In my opinion the best card so far for travelling is Wise, which has by far the best fees and it is extremely easy to transfer between the currencies. It also supports Apple Pay and Google Pay which makes life very easy.

Having that said if you have a Revolut account, it is also quite good and easy, it just does not support as many currencies but you also get a very good exchange rate

In both cases, the transfers between currencies are immediate

I’ve not tried Wise (but maybe I will check it out!) - but I have a Revolut account that is very easy to use and exchange from AUD to EUR or set up accounts in multiple currencies. You can set the currency you want your card to automatically draw from and use a virtual card for smaller payments (but i would get a physical card too in case you need/want some cash).
