Currency Exchange Tips for Europe Travel

I’m travelling to Europe from Australia for a month. I know airport exchange rates are usually higher - but what do you usually do when travelling to get the best exchange rates? Exchange before you go, when you get there, or use ATM’s/credit cards?

Trust me - download Wise or Revolut! You exchange currencies within seconds, they have really good rates, you don’t have to carry cash with you and you can withdraw it in any ATM! Just make sure to order the physical card to use in the ATM

I can second @micatravels’ advise. Please also check with your bank if you are coming from the US/Canada about their exchange rate policy and whether they waive their foreign transaction fees, as some banks are doing.

Use your credit card wherever possible, they offer great rates and you don’t need to worry about carrying cash.
