Looking at renting a car from Munich to drive into Austria and maybe Switzerland. Europcar seems to have the best base rates, but I’ve read some horror stories about hidden fees. Does anyone know how they handle cross-border fees? Is it a flat rate you pay at the counter?
I don’t want to get slapped with a huge fine or fee when I return the car.
