Can anyone recommend well-covered travel insurance for longer trips, like 4 or 5 months? My current one covers me for 90 days max. trips, and can’t be extended. Since my residency is in Austria, that’s a bit of a limitation

I’ve considered a yearly travel insurance (which my current one is), but I’ve only come across insurances that cover you for max 60 days/per trip

Hey Dom I bought mine to Argentina with Allianz, did you check them?
I think they don’t do long trips at Allianz (max 60 days I think)
I had it for my 6 months Latin America trip! It is expensive but if something happens they are super helpful - I got robbed and got literally every euro back without even fighting for it

It’s the “Reiseschutz” - ReiseSchutz: Europäische Reiseversicherung But it is indeed like 500€ for 5-6 months

Have you tried SafetyWing? Haven’t checked Austria, but they used to be good. Unfortunately WorldNomads doesn’t seem to cover Austria residents…
