Copenhagen vs Amsterdam for a quick 4 day trip

My partner and I have a long weekend plus 1 day off and want to do a quick European city break. Narrowed it down to Copenhagen or Amsterdam. Been to neither.

Copenhagen pros: design, food scene, hygge vibes. Cons: I keep reading that everything costs a fortune.

Amsterdam pros: canals, museums, supposedly great food now. Cons: maybe too touristy?

We care most about good restaurants (not fine dining, just really good casual food), walkability, and just a beautiful city to wander. Which one would you pick and why? Budget is roughly $250 a night for a hotel.

I would say depends on your tastes. I am not a fish person, so Copenhagen was a little trickier for me. I loved Amsterdam since they had some great variety, great walking, and there are ways to avoid the tourist spots and enjoy yourself. Grab lunch to go and wander through Vondelpark
