Don’t get me wrong, I grew up going to Wildwood and I love it, but we want to try something different this summer. Kids are 5 and 8 so we need calm water, some shade options, and ideally a cute beach town nearby for ice cream and mini golf.
I’ve heard good things about Outer Banks, Rehoboth, and Cape May. Which one would you pick for young kids? We’re driving from the DC area so anything within about 4 to 5 hours. Budget-friendly rentals would be a huge bonus.
