Hey there. We’re trying to decide between Tybee Island (near Savannah) and Hilton Head for a family vacation next summer. We have young kids and just want a nice beach, some bike paths, and good seafood.
We don’t care about golf. Which one feels less commercialized/resorty?
Any feedback or advice would be highly appreciated

I haven’t personally been to either Tybee Island or Hilton Head, but from what many travelers say, Hilton Head tends to feel more developed and resort-oriented, while Tybee Island often has a more laid-back, local beach town vibe.
If you’re looking for something that feels less commercialized, Tybee might be worth considering. Plus, being close to Savannah could make a nice day trip as well.
Hopefully someone who has spent more time in both places can share a more detailed comparison.
