I’ve always wanted to visit Egypt since learning about its rich history in primary school. I’d love to see it all, from Tutankhamen’s treasures to Abu Simbel. I am also so excited to see the new museum that was recently opened to learn more about the amazing kingdoms and history while I am there. And hopefully catch a gig by the amazing Aly and Fila in their hometown.
Egypt pulls me in because it feels like stepping into a story that began thousands of years ago. 
From standing beneath the Pyramids of Giza to sailing along the Nile past ancient temples, every moment feels like a meeting between the past and the present. But what stays with me most is the feeling — that in Egypt, history isn’t just something you read about… you can actually walk through it, touch it, and feel it around you.
I’d definitely say sailing the Nile because I’ve been living my whole life on the seashore and I would need the water to thrive. This gives you the chance to visit most of the temples. Also I’m someone who’s really looking forward to trying local food whenever I go.
While the Pyramids of Giza get the most attention, the West Bank of Luxor—home to the Valley of the Kings—feels like stepping directly into a mystery. What pulls you in isn’t just the grand tombs of the pharaohs carved deep into the desert rock, but places like Deir el-Medina. This was the village of the artisans who built those tombs. Walking through it gives you an incredibly intimate glimpse into the daily lives, labor strikes, and gossip of people who lived over 3,000 years ago.
