Maybe not a destination, but I’m considering a River Cruise for the first time. Possibly the North of the Rhine as it’s been an age since I was in Amsterdam and it would be cool to step into Belgium and Cologne.
Does this mean I’m getting old?
I’ve definitely been influenced by a couple of posts I’ve seen on social media, but it seems like a novel way of traveling and I love the water.
I’m keeping an eye on Black Friday deals and if I see a great deal then I might just go for it. And then start collecting my pension
Also considering a train trip through France, Switzerland and Italy but the logistics aren’t easy!
The parks are amazing in Tokyo. The people are very silent, respectful and kind. Toilets are incredibly clean and comfortable. People always wait for each other and always in a que even while crossing the street.
My bucket list destinations for 2026 are Belgium, Switzerland, and France. These countries are a mix of beautiful landscapes, rich culture, and incredible food experiences.
Belgium: Known for its charming medieval towns.
Switzerland: Famous for breathtaking Alpine scenery.
France: From Paris with its iconic Eiffel Tower and museums.
Since they are part of the Schengen area, travelers from the UK will need to check the Schengen visa from UK requirements before planning their trip.
Peru and South Africa. It will be my first time in Peru so trying to see as much as possible of the highlights. I have been to South Africa a few times, but always trying to see something new, this time I will discover the Wild Coast for the first time. Super excited.
I don’t really have bucket list places on my list this year, but I visiting Finland. Haven’t been in over 3 years! Planning to rent a cottage by a lake and enjoy the countryside in southern Finland.
