Japan golden route for first timers

My partner and I finally booked our flights to Tokyo for next cherry blossom season. I know the “Golden Route” (Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka) is standard, but is 14 days enough to also squeeze in Hiroshima, or will we be completely exhausted.

Just want a reality check before I start booking hotels!

I haven’t been yet, but Japan is high on my list so I’ve been researching a lot lately

From what I’ve seen, 14 days is definitely enough to include Hiroshima without feeling too rushed—especially if you plan it well.

I also came across this tour during my research and really liked the route and pacing, might be worth checking out!

For a first time visit 14 days is enough. You can squeeze in Hiroshima too if a fast paced itinerary is your jam. However if you like slow paced travel and want to savor Japan at your pace, then perhaps have Hiroshima for the next time.
