Doing my first ever solo trip in June, 4 nights in DC (I’m 24F, from a small town in Ohio so a big US city feels like a lot honestly). Budget is tight so I’m hostel-ing it. Three options keep coming up: one in Dupont Circle, one in Foggy Bottom area, one on H Street NE.
Which neighborhood is actually chill to walk back to at like 10pm? I’ve heard Dupont is walkable and has restaurants, Foggy Bottom is quiet/near the Mall, H Street is fun but further out. I don’t need party vibes, I just want to feel safe walking 2 blocks from a metro station. Any specific hostels that are actually clean and not gross? Thanks y’all.
