We usually go to Mexico or the Caribbean for our annual vacation but this year we want to stay domestic. Problem is every US “resort” I look at just feels like a fancy hotel with a pool. I want that feeling of being somewhere completely different from my normal life.
I’ve seen Big Sur, Amangiri in Utah, and some places in Hawaii mentioned. What US resorts gave you that “I forgot I’m still in America” feeling? Budget is up to $500 a night. We’re based on the East Coast so we’d be flying regardless.
