There are many beautiful places to visit in Argentina! If this is your first time traveling, I recommend the following places:
Buenos Aires: It’s the capital, there you have everything that a big city can offer you, from touring the different neighborhoods such as Recoleta, La Boca, San Telmo, Puerto Madero, Palermo among others, where you can enjoy their culture, gastronomy, and theaters. And if you like sports, you can visit different futbol stadiums! Football is very much part of the culture there.
Cataratas del Iguazú (waterfalls): It is one of the seven natural wonders of the world and it’s an incredible place that you cannot miss. There are 275 waterfalls of which the most famous is La garganta del Diablo.
Mendoza: famous for its vineyards, mountain landscapes, and outdoor adventures. Located at the foot of the Andes Mountains, it combines nature and gastronomy. If you’re a wine lover, this is a place you must visit!
Patagonia: it is one of the most stunning regions in the country. Famous for its landscapes of mountains, lakes, glaciers, and forests, it offers a unique connection with nature and adventure. Places to visit include Bariloche, El Calafate, El Chaltén, Ushuaia (home to the Perito Moreno Glacier) and Puerto Madryn.
Regarding safety, you should be cautious at all times, especially in Buenos aires. If you are a female travelling solo, I 100% recommend a group tour - but if you are travelling with friends/family, then you are good!
One tip I can give you is: Argentina is huge, make sure to plan accordingly and choose one or two regions max to explore, unless you have more than one month to travel around ![]()
