Morocco has been on my bucket list for a long time, and I’m actually even more excited now because I’ll be hosting a tour there this October

I can’t wait to wander through the souks, experience the local culture up close, and spend a night under the stars in the Sahara desert — it feels like something out of a dream.

Already looking forward to it so much! And I am happy to announce the tour here: Dunes & Dynasties: 6 days The Heart of Morocco with Fatma by Timeless Tours - TourRadar

Not on my bucket list.

Been there twice; once as a teenager hitch-hiking around Europe.

Second time I flew, from UK.

My girlfriend hasn’t been though, so I’m debating whether to take her, or tell her how great Tunisia is.

I will add…. you need to post more often @Claire_TourRadar .

Morocco has that rare mix of intensity and wonder that makes it impossible to ignore. The idea of getting lost in the maze-like streets of Marrakesh, where every turn reveals colors, spices, and sounds you’ve never experienced before, is already enough to put it on my bucket list. But what really pulls me in is the contrast; how, in just a few days, you can go from that urban energy to complete silence in the Sahara Desert, surrounded by endless dunes under a sky full of stars.

There’s always been a hesitation around travelling to any country within Africa. Not because of personal experience but because of the stories, the headlines we read and the way it’s often portrayed. It builds this invisible fear.. especially as a solo female traveler.

This could be a sign for me. Morocco feels like a gentle introduction to the continent. With your help I could navigate and explore and still feel secure as this leap of faith wouldn’t feel jumping blindly.

All it takes is one place to break a mindset. One country to show you what you’ve heard isn’t always the reality.

If I am to win this, Tourradar would be the one to introduce me into discovering a new continent worth experiencing. I used to be someone who hesitate to explore and I am now the one who stays and shares my experience so others feel confident to plan their trip!

@DefiantParadise Morocco has been on my bucket list for years, and now I’m even more excited because I’ll actually be hosting a tour there this October with TourRadar  We’ve been working a lot on the route and timing, and I really think Morocco deserves at least 6–7 days to experience it properly.

For me, it’s the contrast that makes it so special. One day you are walking through the colorful souks of Marrakech, and a few days later you are in the Sahara under the stars. I’m already excited for the markets, the riads, the desert camp experience and all the different landscapes.

Morocco has always been a fascinating destination for me to travel to, exotic scenery, culture, vibrant markets and amazing people, food and historical sights. I’m originally from South Africa, very significant and proud to have this beautiful destination on my bucket list. I am the only surviving member of my family so it would be very poignant to win a trip there to experience the vibrancy to brighten my life:folded_hands::pink_heart:

Morocco is at the top of my bucket list because it feels like stepping into a completely different world—without going too far from Europe. I want to wander through the maze-like medinas of cities like Fez experience the energy of Marrakech and see the striking blue streets of Chefchaouen.

But what really draws me in is the contrast: one day exploring vibrant markets and historic culture, the next riding a camel into the silence of the under a sky full of stars. It’s a place where history, nature, and culture collide in a way that feels raw and authentic.

More than just a trip, I see Morocco as an experience that would challenge my perspective, immerse me in a new culture, and create stories I’d carry for life.

I’ve traveled a lot in past years yet Morocco is a destination I have yet to discover, and I’d love to do so! Every time I see people posting about it, I imagine myself enjoying the landscape, the culture, and the different activities that can be done there.

I can’t wait to visit!

I really want to explore Morocco, Chefchaouen in particular but for now I wanted to ask you if Morocco is a good destination to offer to my parents for their birthday. They only recently started traveling not too far with us, since I live abroad, but they’ve never taken a trip on their own. Do you think Morocco is a good destination for them? Thanks in advance

Morocco has been on my bucket list for a very long time, and now that I have practically crossed out the Asian destinations I wanted to visit, Morocco has gradually made its way to the top. I heard and read a lot about the aromatic souks, intricate Islamic architecture, and warm hospitality and look forward to eventually experience these firsthand.

Morocco is a destination that offers almost everything you could want from travel—and often more. Within relatively short distances, there are incredible variety of landscapes: from the vast Sahara Desert with its golden dunes to the green Atlas Mountains and the rugged Atlantic coastline. This diversity makes every day feel different.
The culture is just as impressive. Morocco sits at the crossroads of African, Arab, and European influences, which is reflected in its architecture, music, and cuisine. Cities like Marrakech and Fez immerse in a maze of souks, where the scents of spices, leather, and street food blend together. It feels like walking through a living museum.
Hospitality is another major highlight. Locals often welcome you with mint tea and genuine curiosity. These personal interactions add a deeper layer to your trip beyond just sightseeing.
There’s also plenty for adventurers: camel rides through the desert, surfing along the coast, or hiking in the mountains. At the same time, you can fully relax in a traditional riad or hammam.
What truly makes Morocco special is its balance between exotic appeal and accessibility. It feels like a completely different world, yet it’s only a few hours’ flight from Europe—making it perfect for both a first faraway trip and an adventure.
