Vietnam combines dramatic geography, history, food culture, rapid modernization and unusually good value for travelers. I would love to try Vietnamese cuisine. Pho is my favorite.
Street food is central to daily life, especially in cities like Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City. It has an unusually diverse landscape: Ha Long Bay, Mountain rice terraces around Sa Pa, Tropical beaches in Da Nang and Phu Quoc, massive cave systems in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. Its Asia’s fastest growing manufacturing and tech economies. Most of all its just a few hours flight from my home country, the Philippines.
Vietnam is one of my favourite countries. I love the food, the cities the countryside and how genuinely friendly the people are. It’s on my list to visit again.
Vietnam is calling my name lately — emerald waters in Lan Ha Bay, kayaking through limestone cliffs near Cat Ba, lantern-lit nights and turquoise beaches in Hoi An, floating through rivers in dreamy Ninh Binh, island sunsets in Phu Quoc, and peaceful boat rides through the Mekong Delta As a solo female traveler who feels most alive near the water, this honestly sounds like the perfect mix of adventure, softness, freedom, and healing energy.
The street food scene in Hanoi, especially wandering through the Old Quarter at night, hopping between tiny stalls, and just eating whatever smells incredible .
Cruising through Ha Long Bay at sunrise, those limestone cliffs rising out of the mist and being on the water early in the morning feels unreal.
As a Midwestern USA resident, I will revel in the splendor of all things (sights, sounds, tastes, smells, experiences, etc.) that Vietnam offers. I’m adventurous and enthusiastic about travel and Vietnam is a “must go and see” on the travel list.
