I would be super excited for the food and cultural experience. Immersing myself in the language, meeting locals, and seeing day to day activity would be amazing. Never been and excited to explore.

It honestly looks like something straight out of a movie with emerald water, towering rock formations, and little boats floating between the islands. Absolutely magical and definitely high on my travel wish list! ![]()
Experiencing the historic charm of Hoi An and the street food in Hanoi
First of all, meet my friends from Vietnam. Then taste all the iconic local foods and finally visit the lantern festival in Hoi An that inspired the famous scene from Tangled
I can’t wait to try the food, I’ve heard such good things!
Definitely Hoi An and also the local cuisine! My favorite in the world! Pho - my love!
My partner is from Vietnam and she hasn’t gone back in a very long time. I have never been either. We had a son in 2024 and would love to bring him to meet all her family
and soak in the beautiful culture.
My top wish is to chat with the locals. I know the food is delicious, and the scenery is stunning, but to interact to understand more about the lives of the Vietnamese is what I want to experience most of all.
The food, definitely the food.
I’m most excited about the great food and friendly locals.
Exploring the ancient town of Hoi An is at the top of my Vietnam wishlist! Walking through centuries-old streets, visiting lantern-lit temples, and uncovering the layers of history that shaped this incredible country, that kind of deep cultural immersion is exactly what travel means to me. Vietnam’s history is so rich and complex, and I can’t think of a better way to experience it than by stepping right into it.
My wife’s parents are from Vietnam. My wife has never visited before, so what I’d be most excited about is seeing her enjoy her family’s culture in person. Her using her parent’s native tongue (that she speaks quite well) and taking in the sights that she’s never had the opportunity to. For myself the best part of traveling is trying local cuisine by interacting with the local community. I’m not exactly a food critic but I will try anything and everything, the ‘weirder’ the better. Asian food of any kind has always been my favorite. Next would have to be seeing the lush environment and mountains. Growing up in Texas hasn’t exactly put me in close contact with either of those things!
