I am currently researching tours in South Korea. And there are so many cities/regions to explore! To narrow down my search for the ideal tour, are there other cities apart from Seoul and Busan that I should definitely have on my itinerary? Any insights would be appreciated ![]()
following because Iβd also love to know from someone who has been ![]()
Hey my fiancee and I have only been to Seoul for a week last February around Korean new year, and we loved it!
Lots of the the main museums and palaces were free because of new year.
Highly recommend: Bukchon Hanok Village, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung palace, Myeongdong Shopping Street.
The DMZ (demilitarized zone) or JSA, that is a one day trip people often do when staying in Seoul.
Plus, the city boasts plenty of parks, forests, and hills, so if you want to escape the crowds, itβs super easy.
If would love to have gone to Gyeongju, or Busan, but we didnt have time.
Tip: google services dont fully work there, so make sure to look up alternatives.
Thanks for the tips! Did you organise everything yourself or did you go on tour?
We organized everything ourselves, or rather, we had a super chill week in Seoul off the back of weeks traveling around Vietnam and Japan, so we only focused on the capital (we were too tired to go around the country
)
