Leaning towards a small-group tour for Turkey rather than sorting the internal flights ourselves, and now it’s down to which company to go with. They all seem to hit Istanbul and Cappadocia, but the reviews are all over the place on group size, pace and the guides. For those who’ve done a group trip in Turkey, which operator did you use, and would you book them again?
Small-group tours or G Adventures both are considerable.
Hey, I’ve never been myself, but I’ve been doing a LOT of research for my own plans for next year, and I keep seeing and hearing really good things about Guide of Ephesus. This tour specifically has been on my radar: 10 Days Wonders of Turkey by Guide of Ephesus with 203 Tour Reviews (Code: GOE240201) - TourRadar
The group size is listed as 2–20 people but from what I’ve been seeing, a lot of their departures also seem to be guaranteed, so I don’t think that necessarily means you’ll always end up with the full 20 people either. Especially if you avoid the busiest peak season, you could potentially end up with a much smaller group. I’m actually thinking of going around the end of April, which seems like it could be a really nice sweet spot before the bigger summer crowds.
If anyone here has travelled with Guide of Ephesus before, I’d love to know what your actual group size ended up being! Was it anywhere close to the maximum 20?
