We drove to Makarska and spent a lovely week in this seaside town. It is a small spot with high mountains on one side and the beautiful blue Mediterranean on the other.
This adventure was much more chilled than our usual travel plans. But if you want to break away for a bit and enjoy the sun and relax without feeling the pressure to fill up your holiday with activities, this is the perfect spot.
Things to do:
- Enjoy the long beach and bathe in the sun and swim on the hour, every hour
- Delicious seafood in the old town at a family-owned restaurant
- Rent a boat and skipper for a day and head to the island of Hvar and Brač and swim in the coves and crystal clear water
- Head down to the many beach bars for sundowners
- Go cliff jumping at the point
- Go party in a cave!
