We’d like Madrid or Barcelona, the big three of Andalusia, and a little breathing room, without the days turning into a checklist. The trips on offer swing from a week to a fortnight. What length felt like it did the country justice?

I’d look at ten to fourteen days for a **[Tour of Spain](https://tnot.es/EStrips)**; although six or seven days seems appropriate for a more regional experience.

Hey @alex ! I’ve been planning a 10-day Spain trip for this fall, and even with just Barcelona, Tossa de Mar, Granada and Seville, it already feels like there’s a lot to fit in without making every day too rushed. Ten days to a fortnight seems doable if you focus on a few places rather than trying to cover all of Spain, but I’m also wondering about the transport side of it.

@TravelNotes Do you think a 10-day trip like this is realistic without renting a car, using only trains, buses and a couple of short flights?

Realistic, if you’re on an **[Organised Tour of Spain](https://tnot.es/EStrips)**.

If you want to do it alone, using public transport, you’ll need to think about your priorities.

Using Spanish Railways (Renfe) to get around may mean passing through Madrid, but for many, that’s not a problem.
